SCDC director to serve as keynote speaker at upcoming housing conference

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – José Duarte, director of the Stuckeman Center for Design Computing at Penn State, will deliver a keynote address at the Zero Energy Mass Customized Housing Conference (ZEMCH 2019) in Seoul, South Korea, November 26-28.

In his talk, titled "Mass Customization of Houses: Digital design and fabrication of houses," Duarte will describe the theory of mass customization put forth in the book Mass Customization and Design Democratization. He will also discuss how the theory played into the work the Penn State team developed for the NASA 3D-Printed Mars Habitat Challenge.
