We Are a

The resources of a big university with the support of a close-knit department.

We are a family. We work together, we learn together, we even watch YouTube together. From the camaraderie of our student organizations to the lifelong bonds forged by late nights in studio, the foundation of our program is people.

We are...Caring, Active, and INVOLVED!

Penn State Landscape Architecture doesn't end when the class period is over. It is something much more. We are a community of students, staff, and faculty dedicated to learning, design, and supporting each other. We engage with and enrich our community. We build and we solve. We make life better. We're more than just your future professional network – we are a family.

  • THON raises awareness and funds to fight pediatric cancer. PARK(ing) Day engages communities nationwide by beautifying public spaces. They're two of the many causes we support.
  • Need help with Photoshop or Rhino? Talk to a fourth-year student or a member of the Digital Beehive. Students here help each other master software, design techniques, and life.
  • Penn State's Landscape Architecture Student Society (LASS) won the national competition to host the 2018 LABash student conference and continues to plan engaging events for all students.
