About Us:
Jenick Studio is a small but growing landscape architecture firm located in Sandwich, Massachusetts, specializing in the integration of ecology and modern design. With a current focus on custom residential design, commercial, and ecological restoration projects, our firm is team-oriented and casual in a fast-paced environment. Our expertise in ecological permitting at the local and state level, as well as a close professional and knowledge-sharing relationship with an ecological restoration company, allows us to design and execute vibrant and dynamic landscapes in challenging coastal settings.

Job Description:
We are seeking a talented, highly-motivated designer that is excited by the natural environment, shares a passion for contemporary design, and is seeking an atmosphere that supports professional growth. Primary responsibilities of this position will include developing and resolving design concepts, project management, preparing construction documents, and construction observation. Applicants must have the ability to prioritize responsibilities and a desire to work as an integrated team member who is interested and committed to helping grow and evolve the firm. Candidates must have strong motivation to gain direct experience with coastal restoration and stabilization projects, understand and work with native plant communities, and incorporate these concepts into designed landscape architecture projects.

Travel Required: Long-distance travel is not required.

Education, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Accredited bachelor or master’s degree in landscape architecture
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign (SketchUp is a plus)
  • Strong hand drawings skills are preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams
  • Technical writing skills are a plus
