Lisa DuRussel is a an assistant teaching professor and practitioner-in-residence at The Pennsylvania State University. She brings 14 years of landscape architecture experience in horticulture, resiliency, and ecological design to Penn State, where she challenges students to solve complex issues through research, conversation, and collaboration. 

Prior to joining Penn State, DuRussel served as senior landscape architect and project leader at West 8 New York where her role spanned both the design and execution realms. She served as implementation lead for the award-winning Governors Island Hills Project.

Her work has been published in Landscape Architecture Magazine, World Landscape Architecture, and Metropolis POV.
