Susanne Gampfer, dean of architecture and civil engineering at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, joins us as our speaker, author, and guest juror of the 2019 Corbelletti Competition.
Gampfer studied architecture at the Technical University in Munich, Germany, and the University of Bath, England. She worked as an architect and scientific assistant for the Department of Timber Construction at the Technical University in Munich. In 2011, she was appointed the professor for sustainable building construction and materials at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, where she has served as dean of architecture and civil engineering since 2015. Gampfer is a founding member of Orangefarm, a foundation that supports student projects in Southern Africa.
Judging of Corbelletti Competition entries will take place from 1-4:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30 in the Jury Space, followed by the awards presentation at 4:30 p.m.
