Arancha Muñoz Criado is a landscape architect and urban planner and director of the Territorial and Landscape Department of the Valencian region of Spain. She has defined the present landscape policy of the Valencian region, establishing a new legal framework that integrates landscape in the preexisting planning tools and proceedings and requires the inclusion of a landscape plan—based in a green infrastructure—in any regional or municipal strategic plan.

She has been a visiting professor at various national and international institutions. She is co-author of The idea of Nature in USA: From City to Nature and author of Visual Landscape Structure: A Methodological Proposal and Coastal Landscape and Visual Perception.
