The course introduces students to a wide range of digital methods and concepts for design, representation, and documentation, while providing them with opportunities to explore the creative potential of digital and mixed media. The main focus of the class is not on learning software, but on investigating new modes of representation. Students are not expected to master all programs, but to explore digital design fundamentals and expand their conceptualization of visual representation. The course will be conducted in the form of weekly lectures to cover theories and methods, and accompanying weekly working sessions, software demonstrations, guest lectures, and reading discussions. Assignments will provide a laboratory for experimenting with new representational techniques and an opportunity to advance drawing skills.
