Three landscape architecture alumni named principals at Baltimore design firm

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Three alumni from the Department of Landscape Architecture at Penn State have been named principals at Mahan Rykiel Associates, a landscape architecture and urban design firm in Baltimore. Jingpeng Gu, who earned her M.L.A. in 2003; Mark Pelusi, who graduated with his B.S. in 1993; and Matt Renauld, a 2001 B.L.A. graduate, are three of the four new principles that were announced by the firm today (Feb. 5). Gu, who has been with Mahan Rykiel since 2003, was named president – replacing Richard Jones – and also co-design director, a role she will share with Renauld. Pelusi was named operations director. The trio joins Tom McGilloway, another Penn State Landscape Architecture alumnus (’84 B.S.), who is a partner and the planning director at the firm.
