Tamminga named a Penn State Distinguished Professor

Department of Landscape Architecture professor Ken Tamminga has been named to Penn State's 2017 list of Distinguished Professors at Penn State. Tamminga has taught for 23 years and is well known for creating rich educational experiences for students. He has led studios specifically in the Pittsburgh area that pair student design teams with underserved communities.  

Penn State's title of distinguished professor recognizes the academic contributions of current, full-time faculty members who hold the rank of professor. Distinguished professors are acknowledged leaders in their fields of research or creative activity; demonstrate significant leadership in raising the University's standards in teaching, research or creative activity, and service; and exhibit excellent teaching skills.
