Landscape architecture alumnus named APA-MA Emerging/Rising Planner

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Brian Creamer, a 2011 graduate of the Department of Landscape Architecture within the Stuckeman School, received the 2018 Emerging/Rising Planner Award from the American Planning Association Massachusetts Chapter (APA-MA). Creamer is a senior planner at Nitsch Engineering, a multi-disciplinary engineering practice based in Boston that provides civil engineering, land surveying, transportation engineering, structural engineering, green infrastructure, planning and GIS services. The firm is a staple on the Boston Business Journal’s Top 25 Engineering Firms in Massachusetts list. During his time at Nitsch, Creamer has worked on a variety of planning projects, particularly those focused on green infrastructure, resiliency and complete streets. He believes that planners, as generalists, are ideal conveners of allied professionals to advocate for environmental and social justice. His goal is to incorporate these ideals and ethics into both planned and built work, which echoes the tenets of the Stuckeman School's Department of Landscape Architecture. Read more.
