A Company Overview:
Fahringer, McCarty, Grey is an innovative group of twenty site development, land planning, and design professionals including landscape architects, civil engineers, planners, and related specialists. Launching in 1963, Fahringer, McCarty, Grey Inc. has been in business for over 50 years. The firm was initially founded to serve the land development and community planning needs of the Pittsburgh area, however our base has expanded geographically as our firm’s reputation for problem solving and exceptional personal service has evolved.
We maintain a diverse client base with a mix of both land development projects and open space planning. Our expertise includes: landscape architecture, civil engineering, urban and regional planning, surveying, hydrology and hydrologic analysis, community/recreation planning and design, resource planning, and environmental analyses. Our involvement ranges from field surveying, feasibility studies, preliminary design, cost analysis, final construction drawings/specifications, local/county/state/federal governmental permits/approvals, and final construction observation/certification.
When necessary, we supplement these capabilities with outside talent from other disciplines. We often call upon a select group of consultants including traffic planners, geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, and environmental scientists to aid us in the designing process.
With more than 6,000 completed projects throughout most of the eastern U.S., our client base is quite diverse. It includes a variety of businesses, large corporations, housing authorities, utility companies, health care institutions, learning institutions, nonprofit groups, consulting firms, and privately-funded conservation organizations. Meeting the ever changing needs of our clients has enabled us to build an extensive and varied portfolio.
We are currently looking for a summer intern. Please forward a resume/portfolio to Jon Sweringen at firstname.lastname@example.org
