Gordon, a Chantilly, Virginia based multi-disciplinary firm, with offices in West Virginia and the District of Columbia seeks to fill a position for a landscape architecture Intern. Our studio has a wide variety of landscape architecture specialties including CPTED experts, sports + recreation designers, and AICP planners. In 2017 our Rocky Run Park project won a Potomac Chapter ASLA award and our VCR trail project won a Federal Highways award. The summer landscape architecture intern will be involved in wide variety and scale of planning and design projects for Mixed-Use, Transit Oriented, Condominium and Multifamily developments, as well as for Urban Parks and Open Spaces, Public Parks and Recreational Facilities.
It is anticipated that the summer intern will assist current staff in the preparation of project graphics, high-level schematic designs, presentation graphics, construction documents and other aspects of comprehensive landscape architecture, zoning and entitlement projects. The summer intern will work alongside a large, experienced team of registered landscape architects and AICP planning professionals on interesting and high-profile projects. Ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, In-Design, Illustrator, Sketch-up, Lumion, and Microsoft Office/ Excel. Strong graphic design skills and work ethic a plus.
