Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Designer to join our firm in the creation of exemplary higher education and institutional projects. The candidate will work closely within a team on a variety of national projects. This is an excellent opportunity to be creative in a dynamic, collaborative studio environment with some of the country’s most experienced higher education architects and planners. Candidates must demonstrate proven design leadership skills as well as an ability to contribute to an energetic process. 
  • Lead the design process on projects from concepts to completion of construction.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff team members on design and project development.
  • Contribute to the culture of firm-wide research and exploration in areas of building technology and design process.
  • Bachelors of Architecture or Masters of Architecture (accredited degree program required).
  • Architectural license required.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a collaborative design leader at each planning and design phase.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in a design role.
  • Must have a strong portfolio of projects of a similar complexity or scale. Experience with higher education projects is a plus.
  • Should be able to demonstrate regional or national design recognition.
  • Excellent graphic and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience guiding teams using architectural design platforms and software.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe suite, and Sketch-up.
  • Solid MS office and Deltek abilities.
  • Knowledge of 3-d modeling software helpful.
