Established in 2000, Fairfield Landscaping & Tree Service provides complete high quality landscape, lawn care and tree services to both commercial and residential clients throughout Pittsburgh and the surrounding area. We typically look to hire candidates with a degree in Turfgrass Science, Landscape Architecture or Landscape Contracting. Our company will be attending the PSU spring career fair on Tuesday, February 14th at the Bryce Jordan Center looking to recruit students interested in a Landscaping Manger or Landscaping Foreman position. Fairfield Landscaping caters to high-end demanding landscape customers looking for custom landscaping. This job would allow you to share your landscape knowledge with both residential and commercial clients on a one on one basis. We are not just looking for landscape professionals, but an employee that has a passion for all aspects of landscaping and is interested in growing the business of the company.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Landscaping Manager ensures that the Landscaping Crews are carrying out their tasks effectively across multiple job sites in a timely fashion. The Landscaping Manager is responsible for maintaining detailed customer job records as well as assisting with establishing landscaping plans and compiling customer quotes as needed. The Manager may also be involved in all activities required to prepare the site, install new landscaping and complete the job up to and including ensuring the clients is satisfied at completion of job.
 
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Knowledgeable in all phases of landscaping jobs.
  • Ability to interface with all types of mechanical and construction contractors.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed by crew members and foremen. Responsible for generating disciplinary notices for employees not following the Fairfield Landscaping safety guidelines including but not limited to all personal protective equipment.
  • Safely uses all hand/power tools and equipment taking responsibility for reporting any broken or unsafe equipment which require maintenance immediately to Service Manager.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous experience managing landscaping jobs and crews.
SPECIAL REQIUREMENTS:
  • Clean and Valid Driver's License
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Occasional lifting or moving heavy materials in difficult work positions.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent stamina is required.
  • Will be required to work outside in all kinds of weather conditions.
