Ranked as one of Fortune Magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For”, Kimley-Horn & Associates, a multi-discipline design consulting, is searching for a landscape architect for our Reston, VA office. This position will support our growing Landscape Architecture and Land Planning practices by providing site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical production. Project experiences will be diverse, as we provide services to both the public and private sectors. Projects include multifamily, mixed-use, streetscape throughout the DC market/working for a wide variety of great clients.
 
Position Requirements:
  • Have, or in the process of receiving within the next 12-18 months, a BS or MS in Landscape Architecture
  • Strong AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Microsoft (Word and Excel) skills
  • Working knowledge of graphic software programs (Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/Arcview, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview
  • Positive attitude, team oriented, and a strong work ethic
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working for a civil engineering design firm
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated; sense of urgency to produce high quality work
