The NYS Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation, Taconic Region has posted a Landscape Architecture internship for Summer 2017 on the New York State Student Internship Portal (https://nysinternships.cs.ny.gov/nnyl/agency.cfm).
 
The intern would work with the Technical Services Group and Park staff including: landscape architects, architects, and engineers.  Intern must have valid driver’s license to visit Park and Historic Sites located in Dutchess, Columbia, Putnam and Westchester Counties.   Intern is expected to:
  • Work with a team of professionals to develop a successful project(s)
  • Obtain, record, and evaluate field information including assisting staff with surveying
  • Prepare plans, details, presentation drawings, and written documents for a final project report(s)
  • Work with limited direction and supervision using computer software commonly used in the field of landscape architecture
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm.
 
Reporting Location:  Taconic Regional Office, Staatsburg, NY 12580
