Leadership Centre County is a non-profit organization that helps increase the pool of community leaders by networking and education of current and emerging leaders. Participants enroll in a nine-month program of activities providing special information on Centre County history and services as well as enhancing team building, conflict resolution and communication skills. LCC currently boasts over 800 alumni serving more than 600 local organizations.
 
The Graphic Design Intern for Leadership Centre County will have a wide range of responsibilities that will include the following: update our logo; create brochures, newsletters and social media materials; create a portfolio of materials to market our Transformational Leaders Series Workshops; design invitations and fundraising literature, create presentation materials to be used in class recruitment, to secure sponsors and to explain the mission and accomplishments of Leadership Centre County. We encourage interns to brainstorm about ways they can use their talents to assist Leadership Centre County. Candidate must be proficient in the use of Adobe Suite, as we use InDesign to create a majority of our marketing materials.
 
This is an unpaid internship; however, arrangements can be made to receive course credit(s). The internship requires a time commitment of approximately 5 to 10 hours each week through both the 2017 Fall and Spring Semesters. Some of these projects can be done outside the office.
 
Applicant Requirements:
  • Junior or Senior majoring in Graphic Design, Integrative Arts
  • Strong GPA, Experience with Adobe Suites such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign or other desktop publishing tools.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Reliable means of transportation for off campus location
  • Ability to meet with Executive Director once/week
