NPS Academy

Job Location:

Grand Teton National Park

NPS Academy is an innovative, experiential learning program designed to introduce undergraduate and graduate students to careers with the National Park service.
The Business Resources intern will work closely with the park's Branch Chief of Business Resources. Major initiatives the intern will assist with include development of new accountability tools specific to the Grand Teton Lodging Company (GTLC) contract, which is the largest business contract in the park. The intern will develop accountability tools for use by Concessions Specialists; ideally this tool can be a model for other smaller contracts in the park.
Tools need to be efficient and user-friendly while also assuring that GTLC is in compliance with this comprehensive ten-year contract. To develop the tool, the intern will use existing tools for programs and tours, evaluations, audits and GTLC employee orientations in addition to reviewing the contract itself. The Business Resource team will provide input on the drafts throughout the summer and the intern will present the final product to the team at the culmination of the internship.
