The Phototropic Origami Structure to be Exhibited at the Textile Intersections Conference

The work from the Responsive Architectural Fiber Composites course (ARCH 497) will be exhibited at the Textile Intersections Conference at University of Loughborough September 12-14 in Queen Elizabeth Park, Stratford London.

Faculty members Felecia Davis and Lee Washesky, along with Jimi Demi-Ajayi, (’18 LARCH) will be installing the work at the University of Loughborough in London. In addition to Ajayi, the student team members include Karen Kuo (‘18 LARCH), Julian Huang (‘18 LARCH) and In Pun (’18 ARCH). The team was assisted by Zainab Hakanian ('20 M.ARCH.).

The project was provided with expert advice and materials from the American Composite Manufacturers Association. The Departments of Architecture and Landscape Architecture within the Stuckeman School provided travel support for the installation.
