Lecture: Maria Hurtado de Mendoza

On Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., practitioner and educator Maria Hurtado de Mendoza will deliver her talk, "fuzzy bounded," as part of the Stuckeman School lecture series. Hurtado de Mendoza is an associate professor of architecture at New Jersey Institute of Technology and principal at estudio.entresitio – an international award-winning practice based in Madrid and New York. The lecture is free and open to the public.

estudio.entresitio is invested in the material actualization of the architectural concept, and recently won the international competition for the National Museum of Memory of Colombia together with the firm MGP of Bogotá. The practice has extensive building experience with an emphasis on public work that utilizes novel solutions to the functional and necessary without giving up the creative or exploratory.

Hurtado de Mendoza has 15 years of teaching experience at Madrid's Polytechnic University ETSAM, where she also completed her architecture degree, and previous teaching experience at Cornell University.
