Jan Wilker of the award-winning graphic design firm Karlssonwilker will bring the New York design world to the Stuckeman Jury Space on Wednesday, March 29, at 6:00p.m. in the Stuckeman School Jury Space. This event is free and open to the public.
Wilker grew up in Ulm, Germany. He attended the University of Stuttgart, Department of Architecture, and graduated from the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design, with a degree in communication design. In late 2000, he moved to New York to start Karlssonwilker with a co-founder, Hjalti Karlsson, from Iceland.
Wilker has taught at Cooper Union, School of Visual Arts (SVA), and Parsons. He frequently lectures and gives sought-after design workshops around the world. He is a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) and serves as its United States chapter president.
Karlssonwilker has completed projects for an eclectic mix of cultural and commercial clients. Their works have appeared in major design publications and received numerous awards. The firm continues to work with a wide-ranging list of clients, including A, the B, C, D, E, the F Club, G, H mag, I, J, and K.
