DUST's principals Cade Hayes and Jesus Robles will deliver a lecture on the origins of their architectural philosophy and practice. The event will take place in the Stuckeman School Jury Space on Wednesday, October 18, at 6:00p.m., and is free and open to the public.
DUST is a multidisciplinary design firm. They focus their process in the master builder tradition, where the architect is intimately involved from conception to completion, design through to the actual construction. This allows discovery through the processes of design, resulting in a hands-on approach that informs subsequent designs and construction methods. Their work roots itself to place. Through the process of crafting a space from design to build, the work attempts to discover the connections among architecture, art, life, and human emotion. They lean on an ideal blending of architecture that is engaged with the process of human discovery, and seeks to stimulate the senses and evoke genuine human responses.
