The Stuckeman Center for Design and Computing (SCDC) invites you to its second annual Flash Symposium and Open House from 2pm to 6pm on 13 April 2016.
The Flash Symposium Design + Computing will feature presentations on inter/cross/trans/anti disciplinary design computing research ongoing in architecture, landscape architecture and graphic design. Keynote speaker is Skylar Tibbits (MIT Self Assembly Lab). Justine Holzman (University of Tennessee Landscape Architecture and Responsive Environments and Artifacts Lab at the GSD) will present her work on responsive landscapes, and Zachary Kaiser (Graphic Design and Experience Architecture in the Department of Art, Art History, and Design at Michigan State University) will present his interdisciplinary work linking learning and computational design.
The open house will feature an exhibition of design computing research ongoing in the center directed by Stuckeman School faculty Felecia Davis [A], Jose Duarte [A] David Goldberg [LA], Tawab Hlimi [LA], Peter Lusch [GD], Marcus Shaffer [A], and research projects by students funded by the Stuckeman Center in 2015 including Clarissa Ferreira Albrecht, Zoe Bick, Ardavan Bidgoli, and Vernelle Noel.
